I wrote this one a while ago, after I received an email from someone a world away....who read one of my poems and felt my words touch her soul! How beautiful is that!

Poem Artwork

I poured my thoughts into an ode
For all the world to see
And my poem touched a human soul
A world away from me!
Somehow in the vastness
Of this world where millions roam
My poem found a place to dwell
A stranger’s heart its home!
My sonnet meant a lot to me
And as near as I can tell,
To another soul I’ve never met
It meant as much as well!
The human connection is genuine
As evidenced in this rhyme
So I’ll persist in reaching out
And linking souls to mine!

Your poetry is written with compassion, that is what I love about it. This brilliant piece was too.

That is the ultimate, Anna, when someone appreciate, and has something you wrote affect them so personally. Good on you.

It is truly a wonderful feeling when you receive acknowledgement that something you have written has touched, no matter how breiefly the heart or soul of another. Well done Anna.

I think that most of us that become submitters to and on Authors Den want and hope for others to read and, hopefully, enjoy what we have written. You, my far northern friend are a fantastic poet because, at least for me, I can well understand what you feel and what you write and you do do that so well.

Anna, you are far too modest,,,, your words have touched many a soul in recent months, mine included. Thanks Dick
