Lost Love Cold winds blow behind my neck Seems like yesterday we only just met Now a lonely tear rolls down my face Walking, head down, at a slower pace Sky’s darkened, rain’s starting to fall My life’s shattered; feel like I’ve hit a wall Gazing at this path, so pale, so gray Not knowing what to do since you left that day Pain, like my heart’s been pierced with a knife Should I continue, or just give up on life My tears flowed like a river, as they lowered the casket Surviving coming days, can I get past it? Miss you so much, god only knows how it hurts At our flat I, try picking up some clothes and shirts Sitting on the bed, where our love was so wild I’m crying again like an inconsolable child Lying on the bed, looking into the dark Why, why did your death, suddenly tear us apart Going to be a long night listening to the rain Because I know my love for you will never, never wane David J Delaney (copywrited)
