Freedom.

Behind the lock I stood confined

praying to get free,

until one day

 inside my mind

I found the key...

                      was...me.

Short, simple, and wise revelation. Difficult for someone to write a short poem that impacts so strongly. You did it and made it look very easy.

It still amazes me how you can say so much in so few words Kay.

Profound write, ay! We hold the keys to everything - but somehow we always seem to believe that the next person is responsible for our lives. We have to look within. Beautiful write!

God bless,

Sandie.

The one truth it is hardest to find and to use, I think! At least, the head might understand it, but the distance between the head knowing and the heart feeling and putting into practice might as well be from here to eternity, sometimes. A most wonderful four lines, Kay. I wish I could say as much so effectively in 40! Bless you, Kate xx

Yup. Happens like that all the time. If you can't look within for that key it will never be found. Powerful.
