Happy Birthday Mum

This poem is an oldie of mine reposted now for my mother's Birthday,she has always been a light to me.

Happy Birthday Mum

 



You are just a firefly in my darkness,
you don't even know you're in my sights,
you're just busy beaming
for the sparkless,
and mesmerizing blue hearts
with your lights.

You are just a firefly
bright-en-ing my night,
you rescue me but know NOT that you do,
for as you party
artfully
glowing out your white...
my worries and my heartaches
fly off too.

You are just a firefly
beaming as you go,
and I am just two BLUE eyes
battling NOT to flow,
you are just a firefly
putting on a show,
and I am just your audience,
rescued
by ...
your glow.

The joys of love between mother and child. I lost mine three years ago after a long illness. It was painful to see her going, but she was brave and bore everything with a smile. Hold on to your mother. She deserves it, a firefly that glows. Victor

Beautiful tribute my friend, I don't know what I would do without my mother, when something goes wrong, she is the first person I think to call, I can't wait until to call her when something good happens, mom's are surely worth such a beautiful and warm tribute! Enjoyed this much!
