The Curse of Man/ Procrastinator

I love to write songs and poetry, if you would call it that...These are two of the few poems I have written recently. Enjoy!

The Curse of Man

Why do we hide our potential of being a person who really cares?

We never smile or shake a crippled hand we just pass cold hearted stares

What will be attained by this action?

In this there is no satisfaction

Or is there?

The constant rivalry between two men

You say that you will settle it but I say when?

I see that you may not want to cross the line

But will any good man do this in good time?

I think it is possible for any man to lose his cool

Would any man who didn’t be considered a fool?

No, not in my eyes

But why then do I fill my life with deceit and lies?

I see this as blaspheme

Is human nature destined to catastrophe?

I say it’s so sad to see

From our evil ways will we ever be free?

Procrastinator

The light is on

I attempt to work

Waiting for dawn

Thoughts of sleep lurk

Staring at the page

I slump like putty

My mind full of rage

I refuse to study

Filled with regret

I leave the room

The constant mind set

Sends me straight for doom
