Her Name Coming Up

 

Her name coming up on Authors Den today

though we had mutually agreed to stop contact,

though there had been no contact for weeks,

though our minds are now

adjusted to the knowledge

that our long distance,

sightless, touch-less romance must end,

did in fact end.

Still,

when her name came up

my eyes were drawn to her name

and there came a heaviness to my heart

and a deep sadness to my mind and yes,

we both know this is best and yes,

we both know this is the only outcome,

yet,

when her name came up on Authors Den...

That's what happens when it's the real deal and not some one night stand. (Although come to mention it there was this girl I met once a long time ago and we.......ah never mind. Sigh....Patrick

"long distance,sightless,touchless romance" ...all the elements of hopelessness in a romance.....such a situation will most likely always leave you wondering about what might have been....you've certainly got us all guessing, Mark!
