Sweet Jezubel

You bite the hands
that holds you
laughing in triumph
dancing away--
You leave me a bandage
for a sucking chest wound.
my soul bleeds out
and you've nothing to say--

Sweet Jezubel, Sweet Jezubel--

Bored beyond tears
with my pain,
tired of the game,
you seek further distraction--
The world is your prize
won with your lies
and the cutting edge of
your dark obsessions--

Sweet Jezubel, Sweet Jezubel--

Thanks a lot,
It's sure been swell.
I hope there's a hell
for lovers with
no love within--
You'll gag one day
on your own poison--

(Hey, my heart's not quite dead yet.
Why don't you come back
and stomp that sucker flat
again, huh?)

Sweet Jezubel, Sweet Jezubel--

---------------------------------------------------------
To be sung in a flat and wretched key with
a nasal country-style twang.
