I met you as my soul-guide--
first leader of my stars
to dare explore prenatal rhelms
where a precious Grace was ours.

I have known you as my doctor;
my life-line scars to heal.
Your fluent "body language"
brought healing so simple and surreal.

I have known you as my teacher
within the sacred lodge to keep.
Singing through sage and searing stones
the ancient life embraced us deep.

I have known you as a midwife
in writing of babies breech;
most awesome among your gifts of Spirit
should natural birth
these infants reach.

I have known you as my sister,
by earthly paths scarce defined;
yet by a soul connection
as pristine as it is refined.

Today you are the beautiful bride
within this sacred hoop to wed
your life-long beloved, Bobby--
