A Companion to Of Pretension and Peace;
This was inspired by the Disscusion Question posted on Yahoo by Stephen Hawking for world consideration. "What is the best plan of action for the survival of the Human Race over the next 100 years," expressing his concern that we need to create some form of viable unified approach to the future.

I am somewhat reflective these days, as are countless among our members
on the prospects of Global Warming. . .
and the precepts of Global War.

As the litany of yesterdays omens flows into todays reality, what is to be? What light shall we cast
upon our shadows uncertainty
for the Hope of ours. . .
and of future generations?

With the myriad paths of Life
and the rainbow of spiritiual
and philosophical takes that make up
Humanity on the planet,
if any one thing may be safe to say--
means and ends, for the moment, aside--
The Planet is intended to work.

Irrespective of theories or timelines
to or fro,
Earth has been revolving long before,
Homo-Sapien Man was a flash
in Earth's pan. . .
as she may be for long, long after.
It's up to us how long we ride.

So, if Earth can, clearly, go on
without us. Perhaps it is about
allowing ourselves to be shown
how to go on
With Earth, BY EARTH.

"How to" has gone on, and will go on
all around us, and within us
in every day, in every way of Life.
It is about learning
--and teaching our children--
not only to look, but to See;
not only to hear, but to Listen;
not only to "know," but to pay heed
to the ways and rythms
of our host planet. . .
to go with the rythm motions
rather than against them.
Even when, and often especially
when we would rather force
a different pace or direction.

To see the rise/fall; the ebb/flow;
the coming/going synchronis rythms
of Life and life-giving processes.
As close as breathing
and every beating heart.

To Listen to cues from within;
the voices of inner-wisdom;
the voices of animals, plants
and wind.

To Heed And SURRENER
the pace of Immediate Gratification
for the slower, richer investments
in Time and Relationship
that hold the promise of this life
for generations to come.

"Preposterous!" say ye,
"For where would the cures for
illness and dis-ease; life-span
longevity and mere creature Comforts
be today without the advent
of Human invention and intervention?"

Where, indeed? We can never know
the destinations of paths once past,
lest until we may come 'round
to alternatve options, again.
Ah! Small wonder that our sole
passage back. . . goes forth!
'Round and 'round the world
spins, and we within Her,
regardless what we prefer
to think. . . or manipulate.

The natural principle chain
of Life dictates that each level
begets the next and paradoxically
devours or demolishes
the level below.

Now, it would appear
being the "Tops" that surely we are,
our drive for cures and creature
comforts has "caused" us
to devour or demolish all that dare
stand in our paths of progress--
while we will stop at NOTHING
left with a breath
of a chance to devour or demolish
US.

Now, if you were a self-respecting
planetary body, blessed by the That
which created All that Is
with a "Season and a Time
for every purpose under Heavan. . ."
In other words, You were intended
to "work," what would you--
with eons of past and future resource
and timeless creative ingenuity--
DO?
Where a continuous circle/cycle jams
must necessarily double back
thus. . .
WE HAVE BEGUN TO DEMOLISH OURSELVES.

In this Light, is it any wonder that:
We are the only form of Life
on Earth that will:
commit Suicide, Homocide and Genocide;
that we have developed an increasing
array of auto-immune disorders?

Applying the balance of philosophical
Logic to this equation, my wager is:
If we want to live, for life's sake,
we must begin to meet Life, and Death, on Life's terms. We must surrender our short-sited manipulations, predicated on pretencious Homo-sapian "higher intelligence," deferring to authentic Higher Intelligence, which orchestrates universal processes with omniscience, timelessly.
