Childhood was different back then
We played outside all day in the summertime
After school we changed into our play clothes
Played till suppertime, after dinner played till dusk
Today you hardly ever see kids outside
They are indoors with their computers,
Cell phones, tv and stereo
Whatever happened to the imagination
When I was a kid I used my imagination
Everyday
I was never bored
I never tired of play
Kids were very physical back then
We rollerskated, kept the key around our neck
On an old shoelace
Biked, picnicked, sports, climbed trees
Used our imaginations Always
Cheers, Liz
Be always safe,
Karen
