What is psychology-
The study of the brain
And why all psyches
Are not the same

There are personality
Disorders
And conversions too
Why people act the way they do

We only use 10% of our brain
Does the 90% hide in the wings
Scientists have unlocked doors
But there is more to learn

Dreams are about our waking hours
They can help solve your problems...
We struggle with everyday-
Like fears, intimacy, sex

Flashbacks are like movies
They only last for about 5 seconds
Giving you a view of your past
Protecting you-no matter your age

Not showing the whole picture
Letting you know
That something did occur
So very long ago------

Psychology is the study of mental function and behavior...
in application used to treat those with difficulty in
mental cognition and behavior and at the same time help
them cope with day to day life (much deeper than this but
I won't write a book here)

The mind is very complex to all of us many things from
birth can affect it's function from trauma to born disorders...
The goal of the psychologist is to: describe, explain, predict, and influence behavior to help the sufferer... Sometimes medication is in order.

Now I agree also with Amber :)
she is correct! Our brain and body under "normal"
circumstances release memories that we can handle
at that particular moment in life... even glimpses
of what once was before life :)

Good subject Deborah

Wonderful example of how little we use our brain but what great results occur when it's used for the benefit of humankind.

Oh yes, I believe your brain will only release memories that you can handle at what ever time in your life. That's why things pop out when we are older and more mature to be able to handle those buried memories..
Well at least that's what I think..lol
Great poem and subject matter.
Peace love and light,
Amber

Hah! My flashback lasted two decades as I tramped over America searching for the beginning of the flashback and unable to locate it.
