True story from my childhood.

Poem Artwork

 Back in my heyday

The 50's...

When doors were unlocked

We, my friends and I

Would go inside Allen's house

When no one was home

This happened two or three times

Never did we take anything

We just looked around in Allen's bedroom

And his sisters

Checked out their games

Left by the backdoor...

Same door we entered

Those were different times for sure; in northern Alberta when I was a child, our house did not even have a locking door (and there was only one door). Love and best wishes,

I think there are very few places left that have unlocked doors, if any at all.

You were curious and respectful. Nothing to really worry about. Nicely told.

Yep, this occurring in the fifties -- I lived through those "awakening" days also -- Days when hardly anyone locked their doors. Nice recollections.
