Just some reflections on the state of political conventions.
This chess game of immense distortions With truth zig-zagging. Brilliant moves. Brilliant teeth. Each convention seems The Superbowl, or a crusade. Queens Having all the moves and women will make Themselves known. And the unknown, Scares the Hell out of me. There are So many of us. Pawns. Dots. Peanuts. Smoke and mirrors, Smoke and mirrors. This game has stakes bigger than the sun. The glitter blinds me. I have to look away.

Marge,

Conventions are indeed chess games with the queen being the powerful people, but only one, while there are so many insignificant pawns.
Beautiful metaphoric poem.

I'm with you my friend...this is for sure a history making election! I really don't know much about three of the four that are on the ticket, and the unknown does tend to scare me. I for one will be glad when this election is over! I hope I will be glad...also wanted to let you know that I intend on purchasing your book "All Roads Lead to Hazard" I try to buy at least one book per month from den authors to help my den friends out, increase my own library while also enjoying some really great writing....
