I fall asleep at night my heart filled with dread

Trying so hard to forget you but I dream of you instead

The way you enter a room with that smile on your face

So very hard for my heart to help my mind erase

The tender words you whisper as you hold me tight

Within your strong arms as we make love all night

Endless memories of love shared by two

Now have no meaning for I have lost you

.

I never suspected you would ever leave

Without a goodbye you slipped silently away

Turning my whole world upside down

For I thought our love was here to stay

.

There is nothing left in my heart but tears

For I only have you in my dreams at night

The happy moments spent throughout the years

Memories haunting me until the mornings light

.

So now I am looking for a peaceful place

Where memories well slowly fade away

My broken heart will heal in time

As I face every new day
