A lesson learned too late.

 Coward

When you are lonely, too,
You'll think about my smile,
Of how we used to laugh,

Before "us" you exiled

When you are lonely, too,
You'll think of all the time,
You played my heart a fool,
Convinced me you were mine.

When you are lonely, too,
Our loss you will lament,
You chose your way or none
You chose not to relent

When you are lonely, too,
I know you'll think of me,
Too late you will realize,
You've hurt the one you need.

When you are lonely, too,
Know our time was the best,
Please go forth and prosper
Your escape a success.

Coward.

Oh, that one's lonliness matches another. It's so rare. We are a self-absorbed people, unaware of much more than ourselves. Oh, to know the "big picture" of life, beyond our oft selfish wants and wishes.

I'll tell ya, I do get a nice bit of a grin from your writes, whether or not you want them to be considered a bit humorous, and if you don't I am most sorry, but maybe you can just kinda keep him around enough, so that both of you, even if you do get lonely, still got a friend, though I know that will be harder for him than for you, especially if you've been intimate in the past...your writings have struck a nerve somewhere within me, so please take from what I write what you want and ignore the rest...Find peace thru the write, Ed & rufuz

Standing On My Knees by Pinkstone

I met Jerome on a busy city street in Baltimore, Maryland, when he was forty-five years old. On that particular day, I was out and about, enjoying a much-needed day off from work. I wanted to purchase a sukiyaki sub. I parked my car in an area of
