This touches where it hurts, Sherry, and makes the service of these brave people so very personal and real. A young teacher at my child's school has just, a little while back, given birth to their second child while her husband was serving with the Territorial Army in Iraq. There will be no replacing of such moments... truly, our servicemen and their families give us their all. Moving and a timely reminder. TY Kate xx

A nice way to say we are proud of the husbands, wifes, children, brothers and sisters etc that are not with there loved ones at Christmas and into the New Year. God bless them and keep them safe.

What a beautiful poem to a loved one in the service of his country. May they all return safe. I love the meter and rhyme which sets this poem apart from all others. Well done. I wish every service man could read it, it would mean so much to them.

Absolutely beautiful tribute to the military men of the USA
It is hard to be without them at this time of year
almost more than it is during a mundane work-a-day situation
