I love the images that come to mind when I read this poem. I see a wedding, an erotic night together - the fulfilment of that - and then the couple realizes there are more challenges ahead of them - there's more to life than the novelity of "marriage." Gosh, I hope that's what I was suppose to see! I love your words Carolyn, I really do. Excellent verse!
