For Joe Albaum:

Lone old man at prow
Drifting into gathered mist
Fading toll of time

as an old man drifts into the mist of life, time only fades until he's on the other side ...

I can so visualize this. Like a Norman Rockwell painting that I see a weathered seafaring man at the fore part of the ship at the prow, his lefthand on the wooden wheel to stay on course, with him holding a pipe in his mouth with the right, wearing a bright yellow slicker, steering into the fog. EXcellent Ku, Carolyn. I got all of this from just three lines! Amazing what one can see.

Ah, to drift into the mist ...
what a wondrous vision,
what a wonderful way to go.
