Out of the hell of Church-State imposed darkness the Renaissance flared to shed light --- enough so that among other things people of vision could write the U.S. Constitution, but now, that very light flutters with a very delicate balance, as Paul Williams reminds us. (A short trace up the "faith based initiative" trail will provide examples aplenty of backsliding into a church-state relationship) A very fine Ku, indeed, Carolyn.
