I can see you are huritng

Your tears seem to come like a waterfall

You feel alone and like no one would care

if you live or die

This poem is for you

You are not alone

I am in the room with you

I am talking to YOU

Many years ago I was thinking

these thoughts for a long time

I even thought the world would

be better without me

I am here to tell you

that things can get better

I sought the help I needed

I worked hard to find

out why I felt this way

and what I needed to change

in myself to have a full and joyful life

My faith helped enormously

Of course I have challenges

But I have spiritual and emotional

tools to help me

Now, I try in small ways to

provide hope to people I meet

So- I am saying to you tonight

Please don't hurt yourself

Imagine if I had killed myself

What a wonderful life I

would have missed!

If you are unable to see

the goodness in you right now

Find someone who can

help you find that goodness and

strength within yourself

Draw on your faith

YOU are Gods beloved daughter /son

Is that not something to celebrate?
