I give birth
to a new fantasy,
ringing in a New Year
of whatever could be better
than the last.
I bear the fruit
of disappearing medical symptoms,
knocked up-
side the head
with a normal wish to leave a legacy.
I hear the
ultrasound
of a ticking clock
and get caught up in
enchantment, all enceinte.
The seed of
fear has left,
leaving a lingering promise of hope
in the ether,
which will be received by minds of men
wishing to impregnate me,
yes, me,
with a celestial fetus.
I sit upon my fertilized eggs
waiting for one of my dreams
to hatch.
