  At first fog and mirrors - nothing reflected
At first emotions didn't run deep -shallow at best
At first - was looking for someone to make me complete
At first some doubt - led to much confusion
At first misread your intentions - had me running
Then came the sweet-talking - thought I was blindsided
Then came the apologies - one right after another
Then came - 'No need to apologise, ' I said
Then came the lapses in time - where'd you go?
Then came the accusations - sure, right, whatever
Finally - after my words, you were hurt, I cried
Finally - I admitted to jumping the gun
Finally - I said, 'I'm sorry, I did not mean to! '
Finally - I saw through your eyes how much you meant to me
Finally - I knew how much I really loved you!

In matters of love and life, often, one has to sort out actions and feelings, in order to choose the right path for themselves. Good poem, Robert!
