Has a head that expands

laterally - resembles a double-

headed hammer; considered

unsafe to swimmers and nails.

Its head elongates into fleshy

extensions with eyes at both

ends; has excellent sensory

reception - able to map out

the ocean floor in 3D effect.

Five known species exist -

claw; ball pein; club; sledge;

and joiners mallet - range in

length from three to twenty

feet (used for bigger jobs).

Its head acts as a wing

for lift and can sweep for

prey more effectively;

especially likes carpenters

thumbs and fingers.

They're known for forming

schools - Hard Knocks;

known to have over 100

attending class but usually

wind up eating the teacher.

The status of being endangered

is due to over-fishing and demand

for their fins; plus the introduction

of the electric nail gun - just finding

it harder to be in the swim of things!
