Another soul is on the way.

Mother is her name.

It’s not the name You call her by.

It’s just what she became.

 

A sacrificial human being.

With faith in Jesus Christ,

A precious soul whose loaf of bread,

Gave everyone a slice.

 

So as Your angels welcome her

And love her every day.

Tell her that I miss her so

And wanted her to stay.

 

But I can't overrule Your call

Or change what has been done.

So I’ll just trust Your rainbow's real

And my mom’s riding one.

This poem was revised, I actually wrote it after my mom died and have used it to bless family and friends since.

This poem was inspired one night when I got a call from a friend requesting a poem that would minister to someone whose 2 year old daughter had just drowned.

This friend also requested I write it in an hour. I knew I would not be able to fulfill this request on my own, so I submitted the request to God in prayer and this poem was inspired.

In reading remember that Jesus is the Bread of Life and the Rainbow is a promise from God that came just after the great flood Noah experienced.

If you have lost a love one just recently or sometime ago, you can fill in their title as you read and if you are comforted, don't forget to give God the Glory, for there is hope beyond this life.
