We are one,
He and I,
As we ride toward the sun,
My friend and I,
Crossing streams in the meadow,
Leaning down to pluck the wild mustard
That grows so high,

I weave them into his mane,
So we are spring
Riding with the breeze,
Smelling the lovely pine trees…

I am feeling such,
Freedom on his back,
As we ride into the sky…
Where no one exist,
Except he and I-

The sky is still gray,
The colors of the world still sleeping,
As we take our morning ride,
In the early morning light…

Soon dawn will grow in the sky,
And the colors of the world will come alive,
We will be the first to see,
How lovely the world can be…

Here in my meadow,
With my friends at my side,
My wolf trailing just a few feet behind,
Running off now and again,
But I do not fear,
He always returns to the love
He found here…

The hawk screams his greetings,
And I stare into the sky,
Wishing he could hear my answer,
But he is flying much too high…

We share this morning ride,
My creatures and I,
And I feel so damn alive,
In this soft ending to the night…

We are one,
My Morning Star and I,
You cannot tell where one begins,
Or the other ends,
As we ride by…

And I wish I never had to return,
To that house of stone and sorrow,
I would ride into tomorrow,
If I could…

But for now this must suffice,
A ride on paths of ice,
The morning dew still frozen,
Not yet melted by the sun…

The beauty of the world,
Leaving me quite undone…
