Poem Artwork

There are those among you,
Who hear the moaning dead,
Turning and Thrashing in their earthy bed,
Those who hear the whispering,
Of the morning breeze,
And stuggle so valiantly,
To maintain their ease...

They often will not tell you,
Of their visions,
Or the voices that help them,
Make their decisions-
The hospitals are full of those,
Who spoke to soon,
Thinking you saw them too...

There are those who can decern,
The madmen from the fool,
A single touch can reveal,
The lie from the truth-
Yet they hide in grief,
Seeking only relief,
From this evil gift,
That sets them so apart...

Many seek out drugs,
To drown out the voices of the night,
For far to many disbelievers,
Curse them with fear,
Calling them insane...

Their eyes are blinded by reality,
And they do not hear,
Nor see,
The other side of midnight,
Like me.

Reindeer, This is a GREAT surprise! I adore this poem. I do not why you chose to borrow the title from Sydney Sheldon; it confuses the reader and misleads.I would like you to keep on working on this poem. It is a worthy piece. Prophets and poets are the ones blessed and cursed by the 'voices of the night'.

Very well-done!

Reindeer
this us an unbeleiveable write,
Great,
I know of the gifted,
that wish not to be so gifted,
due to the fear, of the unknown,
they are able to see and hear things,
others wish not to make any sense of,
u follow me so far??,
then you know, what I'm talking about.

Hi Reindeer
This addresses issues parched for our societies collective attention. I have danced in this arena myself and I ressonate most with our hospitals being full of those who spoke too soon. I almost spoke to soon, and then by hairs I figured out what I better not say in front of ANY doctor type.
This was when I was a child. I needed emotional support for my experiences by no where near where they would have gone with it. In working privately, silently through my own healing and finding internal ballance
I have today -- I have come to realize that
it is bald-facedly embracing Death, Grief
and Darkness as an equal opposite to all that we "Prefer." Our collective staunch reistance to it spills over and bubbles up
chaotically in the lives of people psychically receptive to the energy frequencies. I also know that as we do
dance with Death Grief and Darkness openly,
the beautifully release their frightening grip. For example I address each outloud consistantly in my pryer work right along with Spirit and my angels. Love Vicky

I am a nocturnal soul. A creature of the night. I was swept away with the awesome artwork... ready to head into beautiful dreams. Your poem took a totally different direction and showed the other side... as promised in the title. Wonderfully done!

Very thought provoking piece you have here. I've always thought of the night as an entity that speaks as long as you choose to listen. But the words I 'hear' are merely echoes within myself that resonate with the solitude of the night. It is part of the gift that allows me to write and satisfy certain cravings of the soul. Nice poem. It's actually made me listen to myself a little clearer than before.
