I am the shadow,
That haunts your mind,
The whisper that you hear
Borne to you on the wind,
The shade of love,
You dare not reveal,
The secret you keep in your heart...

Raised in another time,
When the earth sang songs
And the people danced
To her lovely beat,
As she turned…

I am from;

The Forest of the Moon,
Where shadows lay,
Even at noon,
Haunting and frightening,
But never to me,
They were my friends you see,
And hid me from all of you,
With no words to tell you the truth
Of what you want to hear,

I sit silent and mute,
But hear everything,
See all you do not want to believe,
I stand alone at the edge of time
And stare into my doom,

But I do not weep,
Nor do I smile,
I simply wait here for a while,
For my true love to call my name,
And life will begin again...

I am,
A child of the forest,
Raised by the lovely trees,
Fed on their stories,
They whispered in the early morning breeze,
Listened to the wild flowers,
Who taught me to smile,
And the creatures of the forest,
Who taught me life could be worth while…

I am the secret you keep in your heart,
The one you reveal to no one,
The one that tears your life apart-
The child inside that you keep safe and whole,
The one you let no body know…

I am,
The writer of words,
And stories and songs,
The ones that you once heard,
In your dreams at night,
But now no longer listen…

I am a native of the Land,
Who hears the earth speak,
And write its echoes upon the printed page,
A blind woman who hears the eagles scream,
And the moon cry…
