There Never is a Good Time for Love to Walk Away © 2021 Edward D Phillips There always is a good time to find another reason To think that love’s forever and it has an endless season But we never gave our love a chance to find if it should stay No there never is a good time for love to walk away. I remember those summer days we thought love was forever Those words now bring a cold cold chill to every wrong endeavor We looked for all the short-cuts that took away the trying We learned a lot ‘bout how to live but not much ‘bout the dying. Can we ever find our way again but with a different ending When we can reach that special place with open hearts ascending We left our love suspended while it was in the making We closed our eyes before we found it was there for just the taking. We should have learned that love is strong but not a fantasy For when love’s leaves are falling there’s not much there to see There always is a good rhyme when love is here to stay And there never is a good time for love to walk away.

So true. The source of a lot of depression. You struck at the heart of the problem with this poem.

Such a truism so well expressed, having been through the aloneness of . I am indeed fortunate to have finally repeated the lesson enough times that I finally learned. I think it's fair to say as love of reciprocal nature finally arrived some 16 years ago, there was reason to accept that hard-earned lessons of the past mistakes finally bore the fruit of happiness. I wish all could luck out like myself. Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt reality for all of us to take notice. Wishing you a generous portion of tenacity, as fortunately, as you know, there's all kinds of love we can draw on. Best, Odin.
