There once was a misguided angel
she directed my life at every angle
faded insight and none to call mine
in search of love determined I’d find
I knew not which way to turn in flight
I knew not black and I knew not white
how I longed to save another soul
caring and kind and yet still another broken goal
longing to replace that love lost without condition
blinded by evil ways and false interpretation
with love as my motive it was more than just clear
not uncertain why it turned into pure fear
this misguided angel was my only guide
during a time in my life when I wanted to hide
as if an embrace might remove the pain of yesterday
if only I had known the price I would have to pay
the cost of time and it’s precious bind
thankful my Angel is reformed and so is my mind
no longer misguided by her virtue and selflessness
drifted to the positive side of righteousness
