Take a stroll down memory lane with me
the streets all look the same
time moves faster than we can tell
thats when each day was a gift
glancing at all the old books
on the shelves of my life
I am taken back to the park swing
above me cascading branches of trees
of my life - the scent of honeysuckle
vines so thick in the air when I stroll
down the memory lane of my life
I am taken back to a time when it
rained and all I wanted to do was run
and see how many raindrops I could catch in my little hands and then...wait for the rainbow in the sky the one that always came after the rain
times when life was simple good and true ...even if I never really knew. Taken back to a time when each day was a gift pure and true .
