demon master, souled into chains
controlling feeling, feeling thoughts
darkened by thunder-like refrains
of pain, saddened by appointments
with dire disappointments
whitt'ling away at joy and delight
honed by the dull ache of life
sharpened by razor-like nights
of black, weakened by the sheer strength
with sorrow at arm's length
oh, the harsh reality of life
breathing the pain
re-occurring again
like a sword-stained knife
cutting again and again at will
leaving my heart bleeding still
