I’ve never been one drawn to fame. In fact, quite the opposite. Fame has always been drawn to me. Don’t know why, but it is what it is. Last time I came out of a longtime-relationship I swore to myself: Never again a musician. So imagine my surprise when on my first date after that break up I was on a date with a truck driver, I thought this is as far as I can get from a musician. Me prejudiced? No way! Anyhow, he asked me what I was looking for in a man and I said; anything ecxept a musician. And this guys jaw dropped and he turned all colors red. Turns out he was a musician, quite noteable as well. That’s when I told myself; this is redicilous! I can’t avoid musicians so I might as well not have a relationship at all. That was about eight years ago before I walked in to a party at my friends house and I fell head over heels in love with my current husband and I thought to myself before even having been introduced to him; I don’t care if he’s a musician I’m in love! Turns out he’s not only the love of my life, he is also a Naval engineer and no where near being a musician .😅

Moving away
further everyday.
Collecting mile after mile
as I keep adding to the pile
Of things found, things lost
at various degrees of cost

That open mind
was not easy to find
But here I am at last
looking at a future vaste
that is spacious and free
now that it's you and me

Nothing can tear me away
you are all I need day after day

Fame certainly brings great stress to anyone's life. I was so glad you now have miles and miles to go without the overhanging obligation to fame anymore. Nicely put.

When we are burned by an individual we tend to classify all of them as being bad. The truth is, not all musicians are bad, not all truck drivers are bad, not all lawyers are bad, not all engineers are bad etc. I think we just need to find the person and the heart, not the profession, the income, the religion etc. Glad you found the one for you. fee
