Poem Artwork

Emotions tinted blue
take a toll on me and you

When the past comes back
in its vicious sneak attack

We've been there before
and will many times more

This is where we find ourselfs
clean out the dirty old shelves

Make room for what is yet to come
in our new and stronger form

We could dive into the blue
loose sight of what is true

Instead we fight for our souls
and repair its many holes

Take the fights head on
and fight until they're gone

Never will we loose our hope
and this is how we cope

Ron! I don’t believe in supressing emotions. I believe in learning to recognize them. And with each time they rear their ugly heads I can learn something new from it. With each time they become easier to recognize and vanquish until next time they are awakened. But then again, the memories I’m talking about are from severe mental and physical abuse and have left scars within me that wont go away.

It is probably better to lose bad memories and leave them behind. Lose ourselves into a better future for everyone.
