Poem Artwork

Thorny, jagged, sharp
edges that fall apart
Obscure the fault
avoid the assault

Tread carefully my friend
to be at peace in the end
We are mere puppets
on destinys' string
Walking steadfast
towards that ring

Shiny, bright, gleam,
say is it as it seems?
Tend to that dream
conjure the unseen

Long for a soul to align
100 percent with mine
A traveller through
 space and time
Endless searching
for what's mine

Dreams, pieces of art
Where do we start?
Together or apart?
Avoid the assault?

I can relate, Elisabeth; and I appreciate the philosophical perspective that you have shared through your verses. Love, peace, and best wishes to you,

Regis.

Beautifully penned, Elisabeth. It is a big universe and we are trapped in this small body of flesh. Thought provoking write.

We are all trying to put the pieces together. Your poem shares that with everyone. It is difficult to find a good partner in life. One of the best ways is not to spend too much time worrying about it or trying to find one when one might be there all along.

The only line that disturbed me was "avoid the assault?"
