Another short and strange piece in advance of my poetry club meeting.

We have to get our taxes done. When?

Not now.

We have to do this. When?

Not now.

A fine case of procrastination. I actually enjoy doing my taxes with two rules: Number 1: do your taxes as soon as you have all of the information. If you have a refund coming, file it electronically if you can and get your refund before someone steals your Social Security number getting your refund before you do. Number 2: if you find that you don't have a refund, wait until April 15 and then send in a paper copy with your check.

If you are too lazy or too stupid to follow those rules, I can't help you. The IRS will love taking you through the weeds.

Never do today what can be postponed until tomorrow. As they say, if it wasn't for the last minute, I wouldn't get anything done.
