Over And Echoless
Sometimes cornered and
desperate, I search for
death's blessed sleep after
wandering down desolate
roads, convinced only of
deeper darkness ahead.
But, ahh, sometimes I'm
wondering through
sudden fertile valleys, where
youthful sunshine, playing
through the ripe pear trees,
dazzle my wind-blown hair
as I pull you close, grasping
for the universe itself in
the splendid mysteries
of your yielding thighs.
Yes, sometimes we're
cornered, sometimes
soaring. sometimes
neither until all at last is
as over and echoless as
yesterday's fleeting wind.

I do like very much the way you put this, Ben; and the whole poem. Love and peace to you,
