Fantasy tale of an island made of sweet and delicious food.
In a marzipan boat, we'll sail away,
just Ginny and me and Emily Jay.
Cross a lemonade ocean fizzy and cool,
to a chocolate cake island, with a whipped cream pool.
We'll swim in the pool and like a dream,
we'll clamber out all covered in cream.
Ginny will bark and lap at the pool,
isn't this great? Much better than school.
We'll build a hut out of liquorice sticks,
and get the right shape, using bites and licks.
Our marshmallow sofa will look so nice,
with candy floss cushions and coconut ice.
We'll invite Grandma and mummy to stay,
they can eat what they like and they needn't pay.
They'll say this place is oh so grand,
as we rock and roll to a gingerbread band.
Brush teeth with honey we bought from a bee,
then take a bath in a cup of tea.
Our soap will be made from strawberry jam,
and we'll sleep in our beds of jelly and spam.
When the morning comes and it's time to go home
across enormous waves of milk shake foam.
We'll wave goodbye to our sweet, candy land,
with its beach of bulls eyes and sherbet sand.
We'll wake in our own place,
was it a dream?
What's this on my face?
Why it's strawberry cream.
