The air is cold and it prickles my skin.
The darkness without will soon be within.
My mind doth rage and nothing makes sense.
The kind words I hear, make no recompense.
Pure solitude is so great a desire,
But when I’m alone, who can help douse the fire?
My heart beats so fast with the anguish I feel.
Who will cure my mind and the torment repeal?
Tis constant battle twixt mind and will.
Butterflies fluttering inside stop, be still.
The need to do harm overwhelming desire,
To myself and to loved ones, such terrible ire.
To fly so high, yet sink so low.
The smile on my face is a cosmetic show.
Don’t pity me if you really care,
I would only sink lower to the depths of despair.
You tell me, no need for this rage and ire,
For in my short life, I have all I desire.
I’m misunderstood and you all know so well,
I have no depression, there’s no living hell.
