You do not see me like they do
Arms wielding the strength of giants
with pillow hands made just for cuddles
Braver than any mortal man
like a knight born of fairytales.
Reflexes finely tuned with stealth precision
trained for diving and saving grazed knees
and lips with the power to heal
with but the gentlest of kisses
I do not see me like they do
Strength measurable and bravery tested
Reflexes not always reliable
and their cuts and bruises hurt me more than them
But I pledge my life for them
Let my children be the measure of my worth
In Spirit,
Bear
Let my children be the measure of my worth
Wise and worthy thoughts, Leith. Thank you for sharing them. Love and peace to you,
Regis
