Eileen suggested I get off my literary butt and write something. Man, am I out of practice.

Some say love Is the answer

To a question never posed

Riddle paused in reflection

Of life’s pathways that we chose

When it’s dark when it’s dreary

It’s the light that we all share

When the clouds give way to starlight

And the dawn begins to bear

All the fruits of our life’s garden

It is then we have to know

To our heart we must listen

For it alone guides where to go

All too soon our time is ending

The future now becomes today

Looking back and still pretending

Nothing ever ran astray

As the evening sky eclipses

And the seeds begin to fall

Some say love Is the answer

To the question in us all
