I am very frustrated right now, I have been working on finishing a children's book manuscript, but I am having the worst time completing it. Usually, the words fall of my mind right unto the paper. I thought I would write about my frustration in the hope of shaking things up a little. We will see!
TRAPPED
Like a caged animal my thoughts are all bound up
I can’t seem to shake this feeling of entrapment
I have spent day and night trying to get out of this funk
my mind is screaming let me be, but I am too obstinate
too strong willed to let her win over my desire to let my muse flow
My muse, my muse where are you? Why have you left me in a squander?
I must find a way to bring you back, you use to flow out of me so easily, what happened?
muse, muse I beg of you, won’t you please come back even for just a moment! MUSE ARE YOU THERE?
Beautifully expressed. Reminds me of what Rumi said, " When inward tenderness finds the secret hurt, pain itself will crack the rock and Ah! let the soul emerge.
MY DEAR SISTER, NICOLE, OUR MUSE IS GOD AND HE 'NEVER' LEAVES US. THERE ARE TIMES WHEN WE MIGHT NOT HEAR HIS VOICE BUT A SINCERE PRAYER USUALLY TAKES CARE OF THAT AND IF NOT, THEN HE HAS CHOSEN TO BE SILENT AND WE MUST WAIT. I HAVE FOUND THAT THIS NOT A BAD THING BECAUSE THE WORDS SAYS, 'ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD....', AS EVIDENCED BY THIS 'GOOD' WORK. EVEN WHEN A POET THINKS THEY ARE SAYING NOTHING...THEY ARE SAYING A WHOLE LOT. SO HANG IN THERE AND BE PATIENT, REMEMBER...HIS TIME IS NOT OUR TIME.
