A philosophical look at the life of an author in today's times.

Do you remember the days of old?

A kiss on the hand, stroke on the cheek,

A touch of your hair;

was so lustrous, noble, exquisite and bold.

How I remember how time stood still,

When I stood and watched the stars shine

On a still night, when aeroplanes passed over

my window sill.

How I can recall, when I heard

that musical love song lullaby,

echoing in my room, filling my empty

soul with floods of memories of heartache endured.

I used to believed in fairytales then,

knights on white horses,

fair maidens, pixies, fairies and gnomes,

far away places, magic wishing chairs;

all in my mind as i sat alone at home.

It is thus that the words

spill forth on the paper I write.

For embedded in me,

is this person -

my life, my soul, my insight,

into my past, my current and my future life.

As I look back on the mistakes i have made,

I look ahead, accepting and proceeding,

holding my head up high;

For those flashbacks, nightmares and photos fade

But the lessons I've learnt will remain engraved

in the corners of my mind.

This as a witness for all to see

that through God, my strength and my tenacity.

Has it all gone now?

In these times that we live?

Has all the beauty, chivalry and innocence

all dregged down the sewers of minds which forbid

to forego the commands and rigidity

of society's pretences.

Do we live in an era

where all sincerity has been forgotten?

Where lying lips, cheating hearts and

wagging tongues are uncouth yet so candid words are flung,

pointing fingers, judging hearts, 'do as I say.. '

When all should be forgiven,

on bended knee before the one true Judge,

before Him we pray.

May my words a true reflection be

of that which is pure in its naivity

For life is so complicated, so harsh, so cruel.

It has many boundaries, regulations and rules

that often we tend to forget,

the simplicity and nobleness

of generations now gone -

who have marked the eras with their wisdom,

talent, charisma and independence.

That we too can be like them

in our writing, in our circumstance, we can win.

Let us not forget, but remember those words.

For words can crush, but words can heal.

Words can comfort but conceal

But ultimately, the words tell the story to be recorded in time

of my life, my history, and my life line.

Oh,this is wonderful Margret.I guess I would answer your questions about sencerity being gone as no. I have a hope that God's love will always prevail.I know there is much pain, but I also see much optomism and faith.Yes, I think your words are pure and true. I can tell it comes from deep within , which I think is the BEST kind of writing. Thank you.

With Love,
Cindy

Histories of the world are generally written to either celebrate technology and science, or to herald doom. My book examines the path of the spirit in the onward rush.

Transcendental Sojourn-Arrival to One Journal by Liz Cosline

Explains the realizations that have given the author the views of living life fully. The life each person dreams about. You must take a look at yourself before dreams can be reached. Deciding what is the core of belief.
