Invincible, Beautiful, Energetic
Full of Life's Wonder and Charm
Eager to greet morning
unwilling to surrender night
Night's heartbeat and laughter and clandestine meetings
Night's shadows and whispers of things left unsaid in the daylight
Nights of dancing or doing nothing at all
Oh what nights!
Mornings met with youth's delight
Cardinal serenades and sunbeams defy curtains and windows and doors
And demand entrance to announce LIFE once more
Come out and feel my embrace of you now
The sun beckons and entices movement
Come bask in my rays and enhale my heat
Mornings song to youth!
Days of dancing under shadows of night and mornings song now a memory
As I sit supremely at PEACE this day watching the torrential rains and the effects of wind beating trees into submission
I am visited by memories of invincibility, beauty, energy, wonder and power
They appear and feel much as they did in my youth
Only now it seems they appear in lower case.
