Few things can benefit a person
as much as reading.
Reading can be adventuresome and
a fountain that keeps on giving.
It can make life exciting and
fulfilling.

Love reading.
There are more benefits from reading
    than you can imagine
Many lives have been transformed
     from reading
When you read your eyes, the window
     to your soul, are open
It is soulful. i.e., full of the soul.
It is a passport that allows you to enter
into the lives of other people
It informs, inspires and educates.
It will make your time worthwhile,
   joyful and ecstatic.
It will empower you in your thinking,
   evaluating and decision-making.
It will expand your consciousness
It will change mundaneness into beauty
It will make you potential-driven.
It will last until death
Love reading and become a ful life
process person.

I agree with you:Reading does all of the things you list and more.
I have read all of my life, and now, I have over four hundred titles on my kindle, but I still check out hardbacks, paperbacks, from local libraries.
Reading is a vital part of my day to day activities.
One of my contemporary writers is Malcolm Gladwell; I have read all of his books; his latest book, "David and Goliath", is a thought provoking, powerful read.
Thanks for sharing,and continued success.

I don't read as much as I should, mostly short stories because it's hard for me to hold a book and read it. Probably the most enlightening time of my life was when I read philosophy books during my doctoral studies. Plato's, The Republic, was especially instructive and I would recommend it to anyone interested in government.

I am reading "Private Sector," by Brian Haig. It is a good book. Probably falls into the Mystery/Suspense category. I read different kinds of books. I don't know how I would live without my books.
