Know your identity. Who are you? Only you can answer
this questoin. But you may not know who youi are. If you
do not know your own identitiy, who is going to identify
you?  You cannot tell me who I am, and I cannot tell you
who you are. The good news is nobody can steal your
identity.

You might say I am a male, female, teacher, soldier,
doctor, lawyer, farmer, truck driver and so forth. But these
things are not who I am. Other people have claim on
these things no less than you. You are unique, one-of-
a-kind. In totality you are an individual no less
distinguished than you are by your fingerprints.

Only with self-discovery can a person know his identity.
Never is the expression "the most important things  in life
a person must do for himself" true r than regarding
self-discovery. Other-discovery can never be a
substitute for self-discovery.

Knowing who you are means not answering to any
externally imposed identity someone else assumed for
you or an identity for yourself that you assume, rather than
discover. This means you will not answer to an identity another person has assumed for you. Only you can affirmyour identity.

Knowing your identity consists of self-awareness and
self-acceptance - claiming your feelings, likes, dislikes,
commitments, worldview or philosophy of life in which
you  are the axis or center of your world the center which
no one or no thing can move you from or occupy.

If others are to know you, they will have to accept that
you are who you claim to be or tell them you are. But you
cannot tell them who you are without knowing who you
are. Declaring yourself is more than what you
communicate through language, although it is that too.
Essentially, it is about your character and behavior and
the qualities, beliefs and practices that make you
different from anyone else. Only you can know and
allow others to know your identify. The password to
your identity is yours alone.

The benefits derived from knowing your identity are
perpetual growth, creative expressions, sharing
especially sharing by serving, enjoyment and communion
with the Cosmic Source, by whatever name you call the
Creator, of  which you are a part, not like a drop of water
that can be separated from the ocean, but like a wave
which cannot be separated from the ocean.  You are
eternallly embodied in the Cosmic Source. Recognition
of this connectedness is fundamental to discovering
your identity. I am who I am.
