Equality has three dimensions. Until these
three dimensions are actualized equality does
not exist. Full equality consists of equality of
opportunity, equality of participation, and
equality of achievement.

Equality of opportunity provides a person
with access to enter an arena, equality of
participation indicates that he is engaged in
or partaking of the offerings in that arena,
and equality of achievement denotes that
he has received or is in the process of
receiving benefits that are equitable to
those received or will be received by other
achievers in that equality process.

For example: A certain student accepts
equality of opportnity to attend Wildwood
School, he paticipates in the curriculum at
the school, but he fails to acquire equality
of achievement. This student has not
experienced fulll equality.

We can say that a school or a class without
failures is a school or class where students
are experiecing equality of opportuity, equality
of participation and equality of achievement.

Equity is evenhandedness, fairness, justice and
equitableness. Real equity exists when there is
fairness in equality of opportunity, equality of
participation and equality of achievement.  In
the equity process this cardinal princiople is
adhered to: from each according to his natrural
and nurtured ability and potential.

Equality with equity is the noblest way of lviing
for the individual and the society.
