I Love You Because I Need You vs I Need you Because I Love You

Two kinds of love encountering need.
Choosing the one that will make all
the difference for your health's sake.

"I love you because I Need You"
vs "I Need you because I love you."

Although these two statements combined
constitute a haiku which is a Japanese form
of writing, mainly  poetry, that  consists of
seventeen syllables, this  discourse is not
meant to be a haiku or  poetry. However,
the reader  may  choose to  read it as a
haiku, prose poetry or neither of these.

"I Love you because I need you."
"I need you because I love you."

Need, no less than love is at the heart of
both these statements. Love is not love
without responding to need. Both statements
have in common love and need, but beyond
that they are diametrically oppose to each
other, no less than night is from day.

"I love you because I need you" is immature
love. It is like the love a child has for a
parent which is acceptable for a child but
not for an adult. Like many things that are
desirable for a child, childish or immature
love is not desirable for an adult. Just as
a person grows physically he was created

to grow beyond childhood in other areas
of his being, especiallly in the area of
relationships. Mature love, desirable for
adults, cannot be "I love you because I
need you." We could say to an adult,
"Don't be a cry baby!"

"I need you because I love you." Humans
were created to love. That's what it means
to be a soul-being and that more than
anythng else, is what distinguishes
humans from all other creatures. Humans
were created to love God and each other.
No other creature or thing other than a
human is capable of loving God or other
people. As social beings humans achieve
fulfillment from their relationships with other
human beings. They ask, "What can I do
for you?" or "How may I help you?"

In a nutshell these are the consequences
of these two axioms when applied in living:
I love you not because I need you to satisfy
my dependence needs vs I need you because
I love you to enable us both to achieve our
potentials.

I AM COMPLETE AGREEMENT WITH THIS SHARING. IT EXPLAINS SO MUCH ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS AND WHY THEY MUST BE SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST...PHYSICAL. WELL DONE, URIAH, AND THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
