Well, sometimes it's Heaven in the morning
and you're lying there in my arms.
And it's then that I feel that our love is real
and that no one can do us any harm.

And sometimes we go out for lunch together
to enjoy each other's company.
And the smile that I see across the table from me
would make any man feel he's lucky.

Ah, but sometimes the world comes between us
and threatens to tear us apart.
And we've both made mistakes but we've got what it takes,
and somehow we make a new start.

Yet sometimes it seems like we're strangers,
each living a life of our own.
and sometimes I feel all alone.
Yeah, sometimes I feel all alone.

But sometimes there's peace in the evening
when I'm home and the children are gone.
We cuddle on the couch and you cheer up this old grouch
and that's when I feel most at home.

And sometimes there are fireworks in the nighttime 🦋
and though they're not quite like they used to be,
even to this day they take my breath away.
They're still the best thing in this world to me.

Ah, but sometimes I wonder what you're thinking
and if I'm the one that you're thinking of.
But with so many years filled with laughter and tears
it seems silly to doubt our love.

Yet sometimes it seems like we're strangers,
each living a life of our own.
And I'm as sure as I can be of my insecurity
and sometimes I feel all alone.
Yeah, sometimes I feel all alone.

Ah, but sometimes it's Heaven in the morning
and you're lying there in my arms.
And it's then that I feel that our love is real
and that no one can do us any harm.
No, no one can do us any harm.
No, no one can do us any harm.
No, no one can do us any harm.
