im a simple mind in a complicated world
trying to wade through all the muck and mire around
wondering how mankind got himself into this mess
is there a way to reverse this madness to go forward
i find myself not wanting to cope with diversity
to hole up like a scared rebbit hide away from life
but this cannot be done alone i have to face it and fight
is there a way to reverse this madness to go forward
to reestablish who i am what i believe how i want to live
no one to control me bring me to my knees in fear
to stand tall to be proud of my own accomplishments
is there a way to reverse this madness to go forward
i look around now gather myself up off the ground
put myself back together again one piece at a time
i thank my heavenly father that i am still alive kicking
is there a way to reverse this madness to go forward
It is hard not to be dragged down by everything.
I drive by some wonderful scenic areas on my way to work every day. There is much comfort in nature. We should fit in better.
I wish there were answers to the madness.
Very good write, Mary Etta. It really is dreadful what a mess we've made of our world. Every day is a struggle for most of us. But thank goodness there are still many beautiful things and people in this life...makes it easier to cope.
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
