this poem was witten after the deaths of my parents and my last brother, leaving me as the sole survivor. it was a time of greiving and confusion for me, this poem sort of says it all.
can i hide within your sheltering arms
will they make the world go away for me
even for a little while to soothe my soul
will they heal this injured soul i possess
give me my false hope just for one moment
do i sound like i have lost my only hope
is there hope of redemption for a lost soul
can you give me some hope at all any at all
am i begging for some reprieve any reprieve
give me my false hope just for one moment
the world feels like it has caved in on me
i dont know if im up or down anymore am i
is there any hope within this world do i dare
can i expect some healing down the road
give me my false hope just for one moment
i tremble at the thought of this loneliness
this solitude this emptiness this void
i dont feel i have anymore hope left to me
yet it is said time does heal all wounds
give me my false hope just for one moment

This was such a cry from the heart. Very beautifully worded, Mary. I am so sorry you had to endure so much pain, and loss. May God give you strength.
Very touching, heartfelt write, Mary Etta. Well penned! There is always hope although at times we have to search blindly in the darkness to find it. But loved ones are connected to our hearts...its a bond not even time can break. My warmest thoughts are with you now....remember you have many friends in the Den who care about you.
I am so sorry you have had to endure such losses. Your heart cries loudly, but in God there is understanding and strength. Your family will always be with you as you are with them if only in spirit. God bless you for your strength...
I can feel the anguish in your writing Mary, and time does heal the wounds of loss but the scars remain. The scars however are a measure of the love that you posses. A moving and emotive piece of writing, thank you for sharing Mary.
Peace always,
David
